The Jackery SolarVault 3 Pro Max AC is an AC-coupled storage inverter designed for households wishing to expand an existing solar installation with a modern energy storage system. This is particularly beneficial for retrofit projects: existing micro-inverters or AC infrastructure can simply continue to be used.
With an integrated storage capacity of 2,520 Wh, the SolarVault 3 Pro Max AC stores surplus energy and releases it when needed — in the evening, at night or during periods of higher consumption. Your self-consumption increases, whilst expensive grid purchases decrease.
The modular system scales with your needs: you can gradually increase the capacity with additional Jackery SolarVault 3 BP2500 battery modules. Up to five additional batteries are possible per tower — ranging from 2.52 kWh through 5.04, 7.56, 10.08 and 12.6 up to 15.12 kWh.
Inside is a long-lasting LiFePO₄ battery, known for its high safety standards, stable performance and long service life. Rated for 6,000 charge cycles at a 90 per cent depth of discharge and a minimum residual capacity of 70 per cent, the unit is designed for many years of regular use.
The AC power output depends on the version and configuration: 2,500 W, 1,500 W or 800 W AC output power are available depending on the model. With an additional battery connected, up to 2,500 W is possible via the AC socket; without an external battery, the internal battery delivers up to 1,600 W via this connection.
A particular advantage is the AC socket itself: when connected to the mains, it provides up to 3,680 W of bypass power. In the event of a mains failure, the system switches to battery operation in under 20 ms and continues to supply suitable loads. However, as an emergency power solution, this function is no substitute for a professional 0-ms UPS for particularly sensitive servers or workstations.
The SolarVault 3 Pro Max AC also works with existing micro-inverters: if you already have a balcony power plant or a small PV system with a micro-inverter, you can use the AC socket for integration — provided that local regulations are complied with.
Three smart operating modes ensure the right approach for everyday use: Self-consumption mode prioritises stored solar energy to reduce grid consumption. Tariff mode charges the battery primarily when electricity prices are low and discharges energy during more expensive periods. AI Smart mode, in turn, automatically optimises operation based on electricity prices, weather data and your consumption patterns.
Everything is conveniently controlled via the Jackery app — via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Ethernet, you can keep an eye on operating data, battery level, performance and settings. Ethernet is recommended if the Wi-Fi signal is weak or if a stable, wired connection is required.
Safety is a top priority: a battery management system, temperature monitoring, an automatic pre-heating function at low temperatures and an integrated aerosol fire suppression system protect the device during continuous operation.
The robust IP65-rated housing is resistant to dust and splash water and is suitable for dry, well-ventilated areas such as utility rooms, garages, sheltered balconies or covered terraces. The operating temperature ranges from -20 °C to +55 °C.
Measuring 485 × 248 × 282 mm and weighing 25.5 ± 0.5 kg, the battery-integrated inverter remains pleasantly compact despite its power output. For a safe installation, place the unit on a stable, level surface; for stacked systems, the base and wall mounting brackets provide additional support.
